Thrifty Tuesday

I make a habit of visiting my local charity shop every Monday, as this is when they usually have the best finds. It took me months of returning to the same store before I found A) anything in my size and B) anything I really fell in love with. All of a sudden there was a surge of amazing finds that were my exact taste! Thrifting can be a slow process, but when you find an amazing piece at a next-to-nothing price - it can become very addictive! These items are from two weeks worth of posting, but as this is the first Thrifty Tuesday I decided to share them all at once.

Floral Scarf
I  had been looking at one from Spottedmoth for a while now, but the price really put me off. I got this one for $3.00 and it's made in India!

Tribal Print Dress by Paper Scissors
This isn't totally my style, but I loved the print. It was $6.00.
It has cute little bat wing sleeves and just my luck it was a Large! Usually everything is an XS in the charity shops I've visited, most inconvenient for a plus-size girl. This dress falls above my knees, so it's a great length.

Starbucks Halloween Plush
For $3.00 I just couldn't pass this little guy up. He's Starbucks brand, Halloween themed - which happens to be my favorite holiday, and Orange - my favorite color! He's also super soft to touch; which is why I intitally thought it was a baby's toy, but I spotted the Starbucks logo and it was sold.

Floral Boobtube Dress
This was actually a skirt, but the band was thick enough to wear as a boobtube! This was $8.00, and with a thin belt this puffs out at the bottom and it's perfect, I think this has to be my favorite dress so far. This dress falls just above my knees - so the perfect length.

Rainbow Sequinned Ruffle Dress
I haven't yet decided if this is going to be my dress for graduation in a few weeks, but I do love it. It was $13.00 The little colored sequins on it are rainbow in the light, it has a purple lining and a rose print! It falls just above the knee on me. I do have another dusk pink/black lace dress I bought years ago from a thrift store that I may wear though.

Watercolor 50's style Dress
This dress is the perfect cut for a big busted chicky! It was also $13.00 and I fell in love with the watercolor flowers against a white background. This dress comes below my knees - which is a little longer than I generally like to wear dresses, but I do love the way this one fits, and the little black mesh ruffle on the bottom.

Rainbow Nails
Okay, so these aren't from a thrift store. I bought the pink (second from the left) the other day and loved how smooth it applied and how fast it dryed, so naturally I went back to grab a few more colors! I'm used to wearing $2 shop nail varnish and it gave me really bad allergies - but this stuff is great! They're only $4.00 each so about the same price as $2 shop varnish anyway. The brand is 'Ulta 3' and it has some funky names too - left to right: Honolulu, Hot Spring, Spring Break, Carrot Top, Flashback Fuchsia, Watermelon, Midnight Fever. This photo isn't as true to the colors as they actually are, so I'll have to do some manicure posts!
